Foyer Lighting is adjustable and can be installed in vaulted and sloped ceilings.

Keep the size of your Foyer Light in tandem with the size of your entryway. An oversized fixture in an undersized room does not work and vice versa.

A foyer is a room directly adjacent to the entrance of a home or building. It is the room that greets guests and it is the first impression for spectators. Therefore, Foyer Lighting is light that brightens the entrance of a home, office or building. It is the welcoming light fixture that sets and creates the design tone and establishes what type of setting the room is attached to.

Styles

Foyer Lighting has many styles including Traditional, Transitional, Modern and Contemporary, elegant, simple and many others. Typically Foyer Lighting is directly proportionate to the size of the room. The lighting needs are measured by the amount of light it takes to light an entryway. It is also dependant upon the use of additional lighting and if it will work in conjunction with Foyer Lighting. It is usually considered to be general and ambient lighting but dependant upon the fixture type also has the capability to be task lighting. Generally Foyer Lights have medium to large frames with fewer than four light blubs. Anything more than four bulbs is considered a chandelier. A chandelier is used as Foyer Lighting if the room very large and requires a lot of light. The lamp shades are made of glass, fabric or may not be used at all. The light bulbs in Foyer Lighting are sometimes visible and can be an integral design element.

Applications

Standard Foyer Lighting is used in the entryways of homes, businesses and buildings. But because of the multiple styles may be used in different applications. Installation is dependant upon design scheme and need.

Gorgeous Light

I love this light. I have been looking for a light like this for over 3 years. We have ceilings that are angled on our whole house, so we can't have flush mount lights as they don't hang right. So my husband said I had to find a light with a chain or swivel arm for my front door. All we had was a cheap round light for 6.00 that worked. Hated it, but then saw this one and ordered it, hung it up as soon as we got it and I just love it. It is the right elegance, good lighting and very pretty. Thank you Arcadian Lighting.
