Nora Rail is a line voltage, 120 volt Rail system. It does not require a transformer to run the system. Nora Rail can handle more than six times the wattage of a low voltage monorail lighting system, and accomplish almost unlimited distances without a voltage drop. The system also allows for more common, inexpensive dimming controls. With its swept lines, fine detailed die cast, and glass accents, Nora Lighting has created an award-winning system for use in any application, whether the design strategy is "minimalist", or flamboyant, the capabilities and endless.

The complete Nora Rail system - available in bronze and silver finishes - provides a multitude of beautiful and flexible fixtures that accommodate GU10, Par and Bi-pin lamps in line voltage, as well as a wide array of low voltage fixtures that utilize MR16 and AR111 lamps, and now HID and fluorescent fixtures that can all be utilized on the same line voltage system.
From unique dichroic to dramatically vibrant shades, Nora Rail offers a wide selection of glass shades to complement any residential, commercial, retail or architectural application.
Nora Rail is UL and cUL listed to safely carry grounded 120V current. This, in itself offers a tremendous amount of design flexibility impossible with low voltage systems - voltage drop or current deterioration is virtually eliminated, allowing for longer runs necessary for commercial environments which require many fixtures on longer runs. Without the transformer requirement, the Nora Rail system can be easily dimmed. | |
