We have good quality gold door hardware and a huge colonial chandelier in the foyer of our colonialesque style suburban home. It was a challenge to find a dining room light that matched these shiny gold finishes in our home. Everything I saw was corny and outdated looking. I bought this fixture for my dining room and used the matching flush mounts for our halls. They are pretty and modern and make our foyer fixture look more current.
